Rename
No, we don’t delete any parts of your post. Sometimes Eugene moves posts to a different topic if it makes sense for organizational purposes. Eugene also sometimes makes a post the best answer if he feels the question was answered. We’re not going to stop that practice but if you feel something was marked Best Answer incorrectly please let us know.

Regarding the deleting, I have to take your word for it. Then, maybe something did not get through when I edited messages (because that happened at least two times). Nevertheless, I try from now on to open a new discussion if I have another not related question.
Regarding the selecting of best answer, I'll accept that, but will, as you suggested, use the possibility to deselect it again, if I think it is not solved.
