Let's investigate into the issue first and then decide what's causing it and what should be done.

1. What are the error message, precisely? You can copy it from Tools > Log Viewer.
2. When a backtest gets stuck (as per your email), what happens exactly? What are the Strategy Settings?

If you run backtests on specific symbols not supported by Yahoo then the event provider can be suppressed. Uncheck "Yahoo Finance" on the Event Providers tab of the Data Manager and you won't get splits, dividends and analyst ratings.

Hi Eugene,
Thnx for your reply. In response I cite the error messages
1) Yahoo!Finance: Error collecting Fundamentals (OMX.20131105.A): The remote server returned an error:(404) Not Found.
When the backtest stucks the message is:
Yahoo! Finance: Error collecting Fundamentals (SGP.20091103.A): The remote server returnde an error:(404) Not Found

I was testing e.g. S&P100
I hope you find this information helpful.

These delisted symbols are specific to Wealth-Data, that's why Yahoo cannot find the event data (fundamentals) for these symbols. In Event providers, put Wealth-Data on top of Yahoo to give it preference and collect split/dividend info. And you can safely ignore these errors in the status line for being innocuous: they will not cause any harm.

To speed things up a little bit when backtesting Wealth-Data DataSets, we'll not be making fundamental data requests for delisted symbols. Applicable to all Event providers from build 23 (Yahoo, Alphavantage) and also to upcoming builds of DataExtensions and Fundamental extensions.

Back to the original question, you can disable them by unchecking that Provider in the Data Manager, Event Providers tab.
