For reasons of productivity & convenience it would be nice to have a the Debug Log as a standalone, floating window of adjustable size, just as in WL6. It is quite cumbersome to alternate between the Code Editor and debug log tabs, as currently.

This may be implemented as a user-selectable option in Preferences.

What's wrong with non-floating and non-adjustable debug log? Some prefer it this way, including yours truly. And some believe that making it per-strategy is a step forward from WL6.

In general, it's a moot point that there's anything left to gain from making WL7 resemble WL6 even more.

And for sure, one can't beat Visual Studio for debugging.

Making it user-selectable would be the best option.

That's example of a superfluous, single-user preference. It would be beneficial to minimize the number of such.

I found it quite cumbersome to have it as a floating window. Especially when multiple strategy windows were open. I love the fact that it's attached to the strategy window now so I can always know which debug lines I'm looking at.

It beats forcing a user to install, learn & use another program (VS) for debugging. Moreover, VS would take up *more* space on the screen than the WL debug window.
