A trading system with two entry rules. In addition to consec. down the rule: weekday greater than or equal to Tuesday. So no Entrys should be made on Mondays, right?

In the open positions, however, there are several trades that were opened on a Monday. See for example the two marked lines in Graph 2

Am I misunderstanding the Day of Week rule? How else can I, for example, exclude Monday as the day of purchase?

Thanks!

Yes you're misunderstanding.

Firstly, the Condition applies to the Signal Bar. The actual trade will get executed on the following trading day.

Secondly, if you say the day of week should be greater than or equal to Tuesday, then the Signal could occur on Friday. It would get executed on Monday when the market opens again.

Please try to add a second condition: Day of Week is less than or equal to Friday.

That still won't prevent a position from opening on a Monday.

Thanks Glitch & Eugene.

Simple problem - complex solution. What is the easiest way to exclude a day as a purchase day with the blocks, please?

Let's say

1) I want to buy every day of the week except Monday.
2) want to buy every day of the week except Thursday

Thank you!

1) Day of Week is not equal to Friday (in cases of Holidays however you still might get the occasional Monday trade)

2) Day of Week is not equal to Wednesday.

Thank you!

I think I understand now - so always use the day before the day you don't want to buy.

Do not buy on Monday - not equal to Friday
Don't buy on Tuesday - not equal to Monday
Don't buy on Wednesday - not equal to Tuesday
Don't buy on Thursday - not equal to Wednesday
Don't buy on Friday - not equal to Thursday

BUT - we have no command "not equal to" ...
