Since it doesn't work, it's unlikely that you have the same settings. And, if really they are the same, then you may actually need different settings... As a shot in the dark, is the laptop a Mac? If so, in which O.S. is TWS installed and running?

You need to upgrade TWS to 10.17 or higher for compatibility with the IB Provider. This was the result of a change forced by later versions of TWS that we adapted to.
Thanks for the hint. I installed the latest version of TWS. The data retrieval is now without problems.
