Besides what Dion has suggested in a similar situation this April, I've got nothing to suggest:

This is different than what happened with the post that was also with me. It does not have to do with network connection as other data driven apps are functioning just fine.

Firewalls and AV software may be interfering with programs selectively, so until proven otherwise this looks like a network/FW issue to me.

Don't know what it was but a computer restart solved the problem for now. Michael

In an administrator account, go into the MMC Windows EventViewer and bring up the recent events flagged in the Windows Log > Security folder. That will tell you what's going wrong. Some of the other folder logs might be worthwhile to look at as well.

I am trying to login and I get the following message: could not obtain your license. Please check your internet connection and restart WL8.

My internet connection is fine. I did try and download and repair the app but still get this message. My license is current per what is on the website in my account.

Well computer restart has gotten the program up and running. I did in this process, however, note that I do not have email communication regarding activation key for WL8. I have for Wealth-Lab Developer but not wl8. If I need it will this work?

No you won’t need a key, you’ll just need to associate your license using the Help/Download my License if you have not already done so.

When I click on W8 to open it tells me it cannot check my subscription and that I should make sure there is an internet connection. But internet connection is working fine. What to do?

Well yes this is what occurred before. And once again restarting the computer solved the problem. Michael
