Why?

This is a free data provider that comes without any warranty. They do NOT want you to get the data in an automated way and do block this activity or at least make it difficult in some ways. Also from time to time, Finam makes the data unavailable for different reasons (Recaptcha turned on following a DDOS, database outage etc.)

At least you gotta be thankful to Finam for having obtained 800K+ bars for free despite the restrictions! 😃 I'd suggest you truncate the partial data in the Data Manager and then retry update. Any effect?

There's no shortage of alternatives. Have you already given MFD and MOEX providers a try?

If I'm not mistaken, I pay you 50 dollars annually for the opportunity to download data from Finam - where is it for free?

The Russia extension is free for you with your Premium subscription, but that's not the point. We're not affiliated with Finam who provide their data for free with restrictions, so the free data feed is not to be confused with the paid extension.

Anyway, let's stick to the point.

1. How can I reproduce this? What steps did you take to get such chart for BTCUSD? Key question: was Streaming involved?
2. Did you try to truncate the last day in the Data Manager and retry?

At the moment I don't know what went wrong for you (I suspect Streaming) but here's my take at that chart ($BTC Feb 2):

Where are you getting this $50 annual from? All our paid extensions are one time purchases.

He confuses the $49 extension fee with an annual payment.
