When I press the "Chart" button, I get an error in my WL7 log stating:
What's causing this? My default backtest benchmark is "ETHUSD". I am using the latest build of the Binance extension, build 6, and the latest WL7, build 38.

Have you configured the Binance Provider? It sounds like there's something incorrect about the parameters. Can you connect in the Order Manager?
Yes, I've configured the Binance provider, and as far as I can tell, everything else seems to be working as expected:
Do you have a DataSet called Binance Symbols under a Binance node, it should contain their symbols ...
Also, does this happen consistently? It might be a transitory event, maybe a back-end glitch?
I do have a "Binance Symbols" entry, screenshot below.
This issue happens every time I open WL7 on my desktop. I've closed out and restarted multiple times. Strangely, it doesn't happen when I access WL7 on my remote desktop installation. It makes me wonder if I've entered a bad string somewhere in my datasets or preferences. Perhaps it's nothing serious, I'm not sure, just want to make sure it's not going to affect my backtest results or live trading.

I don't think it's serious, it appears you're in fact connected after maybe an initial failed attempt. I'll keep digging to see if I can come up with a concrete cause.
