I have been trying for weeks to figure out why I can't get my new strategy to provide the same (validated) signals from the SM as the SW. (Strategy details: IB intraday data, select option contract based on underlying signal, 79 symbols.) I have been getting all kinds of weird, inexplicable error messages in the system log (alsong with my custom debug msgs.)

On a lark, I decided to select the title feature in the SM. Bingo! I got the same signals from the SM and SW for the first time!

Does it make sense to you that this could resolve these random issues, especially with the large number of symbols I'm using, and the sometimes-unpredictable behavior of IB data with large datasets? Possibly an untargeted use case for this new option?

If your strategy depends on the results of other symbols in the DataSet, then that's what the option is for. There's a detailed explanation for that checkbox in the Help, so you can decide how it affects what you're doing.

I hadn't thought about it before, but there is one critical calculation for signals that relies on the collective values of all the signals, similar to a relative strength measurement.

I guess, then, there is support for this being the potential solution to the problems I was experiencing.
