Note that if you have a free API key, Alphavantage will no longer return EOD (daily) data. It requires a Premium subscription starting this week. Intraday data remains free for now.

What exactly isn't the case any longer? I see no change on their API docs page re: intraday.
Let me retest ...
I mistakenly didn't pay close enough attention to the provider that returned the Daily data after opening a chart by double-clicking a symbol in a AV DataSet.
I retract! AV is [still] not returning Daily data for free API keys. :)
