As seen below, one day data from Schwab does not include volumes.

I am not currently using volume to make decisions but someone or one of WL built in strategies might.

        If you need confirmation, your observation is correct.
    
    
        That is right. SPX is just a number. It is not traded.
However, I typically build a day database using Fidelity ATP.
In there under SPX there is volume associated.
It may be the total number of shares traded in each of 500 stocks.
Or a weighted average thereof.
I will try toi figure this out between Schwab and Fidelity.
Meanwhile you answer is good for me as I do not use volume as a consideration.
