Hey everyone,
Just a question out to the community. What are some good (re)sources for tested and working trading strategies? Is there a website, book, research articles, or oh heck maybe even an online trading course, that you in particular like, find really helpful, and actually use in your own trading strategies?
I have seen that Eugene created a post with trading strategies from stocks and commodities shown here which is very interesting.

What does everyone else use and is it proven?

I don't know about "proven" since, ultimately, almost any strategy can be profitable if I play with the market, the backtest period, the money-management, the indicator parameters (via optimization, for instance); or any combination of the above...
Still, I can think of a few ideas to get inspiration:
- There are a few samples strategies that ship with WL and with its various extensions.
- The Genetic Evolver is a great way to find inspiration! If you didn't play with it, you definitely should - don't expect miracles, but expect some really nice out-of-the-box ideas that can be a great basis for subsequent exploration.
- The Trader's Tips from the TASC magazine is another one: each month, Eugene kindly contributes the code or the building blocks screenshot corresponding to the featured article. I have them all saved, since WL7 (basically 2021/2022). For the markets that I trade (mostly e-mini futures), there are actually some nice ideas published.
- This discussion Forum: just yesterday, Eugene published a nice Rotation strategy template (https://www.wealth-lab.com/Discussion/Rank-a-DataSet-by-Relative-Force-rotate-into-5-top-stocks-exit-on-EMA-crossunder-7899); and a few days ago, Eugene and then Cone contributed another template that can be used to rank a dataset by MarketCap and then sort by an indicator (https://www.wealth-lab.com/Discussion/Choose-stocks-with-Top-50-market-capitalization-7823)
- And to finish, with its Building Blocks, the no-code development got so good since WL7, that time is really the biggest constrain in finding something useful, by just playing with indicator combinations.
I don't think that you will ever find the Holy-Grail published anywhere, but you can certainly find some nice ideas to get started and arrive at something that works for you. For me personally, the limiting factor is definitely time. Still, I would also love to have a better way for the community to share strategies, like in WL6. It's true that anyone can create and share with the WebBuilder, but it's not as powerful.

Hi alkimist, thanks for your response. It's nice to hear how other people in the community approach this. I have gotten the change to look into the genetic evolver and I like it too.
And yes, I don't think I will find a holy grail either, but I like to look around and see what other people and how they approach all this. There is a lot learnt doing it :)
