Hi,

I'm currently trying out WL to see if it will fit my needs. I have many questions, sorry in advance.

I am looking for an R-Multiple strategy analyzer like the one here:

http://www.tradingblox.com/Manuals/UsersGuideHTML/rmultipledistributiongraph.htm

Ideally, there would be this graph and other metrics that go with it like: StdDev, etc.

A long, long time ago there was a request for it:
https://wl6.wealth-lab.com/Forum/Posts/R-Multiples-Van-Tharp-29712

Is this available in WL 7?

If not, what are my options?

Is programming it myself as an extension an option? (if so, where can I find information on extensions programming for WL).

Finally, are WL 6 extensions compatible with WL 7?

Thanks!

Hi,

As far as I know, the trademark for R-Multiple had been re-established before its patent holder passed away. Sorry but we will not include a performance visualizer for R-Multiples. Just like with other copyrighted stuff like DeMark indicators which its creator(s) are not willing let us do.

P.S. If you need answers for questions below, please start new topics for distinct questions. There's no cost for users to start a new discussion! :-)

Thanks Eugene.

Is it only a patent issue?
In other words, without that road block, you would work on it?

If that's the case, could we just name it something else?

Looking forward to your feedback :)

It's more than just a patent issue.

Before such request could be considered, WL7 should have a way to identify the risk of a given trade which participates in a risk/reward calculation. In WL6 it was implemented via RiskStopLevel property which was easy to overlook. So we'd need to devise an improved version of it first.

And of course a sufficient community following by our subscribers would be welcome given that our backlog is full of requests. Below is a partial list which at the moment doesn't include extension development requests:
