Hi,
I am new to the platform, and I was wondering, are there any standard glitches I should know about? I know on Tradestation, the strategy testing and simulation does not always compute correctly. Is there anything like this in Wealthlab, or is it pretty well-maintained? I see a lot of activity on the forums here, which is good.
Thanks.

As a long time WealthLab user, I can say it's very well maintained. But if you find a problem, it's important to post enough detail about the problem so we can all reproduce it. If the problem isn't reproducible at the developer's end, then there's no way to fix it. Remember that.
Also, use a descriptive title in your post. Something like "How well is WealthLab maintained?" would be a better title.

Also, I was wondering something about tick-level data. Is it accessible through wealthlab? I know I can stream it through a third party, but as far as backtesting is concerned, do I have access to any granular data, such as ticks?

Briefly, IQFeed is the only WL data provider (about $130/month) that delivers tick-level data to the Chart. However, for trading simulation, WL only goes down to 1-minute bars--not tick level.
WL will not handle Level 2 data either, and if you're really into tick-level trading, you may want a trading platform that handles Level 2 data since you'll want to compare all the active/outstanding Bid and Ask offers. This type of trading is more about live trading, not backtesting. WL is a backtester.

Thank you.
Some of that information is inaccurate. WealthLab supports all scales - even ticks and second bars - for backtesting and even trading. The Strategy Monitor is limited to 1 minute intervals, but streaming charts can be set to any scale.
WealthLab has connections with several more tick-level providers than just IQFeed. For a comparison of data providers and what they offer see this blog: https://www.wealth-lab.com/blog/wealthlab-data-providers
We're adding another tick-level provider later this week, ThetaData (https://thetadata.net), so I will make a pass at updating that blog. ThetaData not only has an excellent full-tick feed, the big thing is the ability to access expired option contract data. It's really a first!
(The first beta release of our ThetaData provider will only support downloading 1-minute historical bars, but the streaming feed is tick-by-tick.)
