I am currently in the program and at first glance it looks very intricate and complex. In addition, I have a very limited knowledge of charting, etc. I have a training session scheduled for next Tuesday. In the meantime I am reluctant to post very basic questions on this forum The people in the discussion group seem to be very sophisticated investors. My question is this. Is this forum open to very basic and novice questions, or should I go to other sources and get more up to speed before posting on this forum?

You're welcome to post novice questions, our forum is open to everybody. Except @Glitch, we all were novices at some point in time. Tip: It's a good idea to check the FAQ and search the forum before posting as answers may already be available.
Short answer: Yes
Long answer:
1. There are no dump questions.
2. There are many people out there that have the same questions but don't post it in the forum. These people are very thankful if someone else asks.
3. Everybody is happy if she finds a question she is able to answer.

Thanks. I am finding sources of information as I look around the program that may answer many of my questions. But thanks for being open to beginners' questions.
