This is such a minor point but a constant niggle. I prefer Crosshair cursor vs line on charts. Now, I know if I click it with Alt, it applies to all the charts but as soon as I leave WL, it defaults back to normal.

As mentioned earlier, remembering cursor type would be annoying if set by accident. There would be need to introduce (otherwise unnecessary) means to reset it (like buttons or preferences that overload the already crowded toolbars) and answer support requests from the folks. Alt-click is a good tradeoff.
