Hi,

Is it still possible in WL7, WL8 to upload external ascii quotes in txt files ? Shell I purchase an extension for it or is it a free basic option as it was with WL6 ?

Thanks.

Hi,

No extensions are required, if I understand your question correctly.

@MIH is right, it's built in and remains flexibly configurable:

I think it's great to be able to upload data from different sources in ascii format. I just wonder how much slower is the backtesting execution with ascii's than with other subscribed sources ? Is it so, or I just believe it ?

Sorry for the many seeming unnecessary questions from somebody who is not a WL subscriber, but i am planning to subscribe for WL8 in the near future and I am qurious.

Thx.

ASCII data is supported by binary file cache so provider's performance should be on par with other providers using native (binary) data.
