I used IQFeed with Wealth Lab 6 with no problems; I downloaded the extension for IQFeed on Wealth Lab 8; IQFeed connects to my computer but does not connect/stream data to the Wealth Lab 8 program; the message I receive is: "IQFeed" "Connection Error: A connection attempt failed because the connected party did not properly respond after a period of time, or established connection failed because connected host has failed to respond"; I have the correct IP address; but the response adds an additional 4 numbers 9300; What action needs to be taken to allow the streaming data to enter the Wealth Lab 8 program?

1. Install the latest WL8 IQFeed Extension.
2. IQFeed Client Software 6.2 or greater is required.

You shouldn't have any problems with this configuration.

Hello Cone:
I downloaded the IQFeed extension and used both IQFeeds: 6.2.0.25 dated 11/11/21 and the Beta version 6.2.1.25. I could receive data from both IQFeed versions on my computer, but unfortunately neither feed was accepted by Wealth Lab version 8 and I have no streaming data; I had no such problem with Wealth Lab version 6.

Whoever wrote the software for Wealth Lab 6 that allowed streaming data for IQFeed to enter the program, please insert the same coding into Wealth Lab 8.
Currently I cannot use Wealth Lab 8.

Sorry , but you're missing something or doing something wrong. Dozens of us have been using IQFeed with WL8 (and WL7) for several years.

Open the the Log Viewer (Ctrl+L) look at the messages from IQFeed. Copy and paste the details here.

Hello Cone; This is the message:

The following are the steps I've used:
download IQFeed extension
Contacted IQFeed with regard to data versions; currently have tried both 6.2.0.25 and 6.2.1.25
I went to Wealth Lab 8 streaming providers tab and highlighted IQFeed
Entered my IQFeed user name , password and IP Address
Touched "Steam Data" button
( note: I have the system IP address; but the response adds an additional 4 numbers 9300; should I use the IP address for my computer?)

If you are using IQFeed on Wealth Lab 8, and I was using it on Wealth Lab 6, then what I am missing? Could you give me the steps that you used to have Wealth Lab 8 receive the streaming data ?
I find it odd that I need to insert my IP Address; Are you required to do this too.

What did you put for the IP Address?
The User Guide instructions are that it must be 127.0.0.1. (I'm not sure why we even show it.)

Thank you very much: When I inserted 127.0.0.1 in the IP Address, IQFeed connected and streaming data was provided to my charts.

I had entered the IP Address for my internet location.

By the way, is there a user's guide for Wealth Lab 8 or is the "help" tab and this discussion group the user's guide.?

There's a ? button on all the windows in the app, or you can just click on a window you're interested in and hit F1.

For IQFeed that doesn't have a specific window, F1 > Extensions > IQFeed, or just search IQFeed.
