How-to-save-symbol-by-symbol-optimized-values-from-code

I wrote some optimization code that uses the StrategyRunner.PerformOptimization method. I want to save the optimized values on a per symbol basis. I have the optimization working on a per-symbol basis, but I can't figure out how to save the optimized values, per symbol. Is there a way to do that with public methods? Or, is this not supported? If there is a way to do this, can you give me just the (perhaps few) code lines that shows how to save the optimized parameter values for a symbol? Please note that I don't need an entire strategy example.

Edit: I want to save the optimized parameters values as the preferred values for the symbol.
