Is there a resource that I can use to see how a specific indicator is calculated/works? Specifically, the Alpha indicator, but I’d be curious how many more of them are calculated. I didn’t see it in F1 and a lot of the indicator descriptions don’t address how they derive their values. They just list the arguments required for the indicator.

If you go into the WL6 documentation (see Indicator documentation in the left sidebar) in the link below, it will give you some of the indicator documentation. http://www2.wealth-lab.com/WL5Wiki/Alpha.ashx Oops, the initial discussion in that link is for the TASC Alpha2 indicator. Did you want the TASC version (Alpha2) or the y-intercept version (Alpha)? I believe the y-intercept version is simply the y-intercept of the Beta linear regression line against a reference index (but someone can correct me if I'm wrong). The y-intercept Alpha version is discussed in the second section of that web page, same link. The Beta indicator would be the slope of that regression line.

You might want to purchase a Technical Analysis Indicator handbook that documents the particulars of each indicator. WL is pretty good at following the standard handbook definitions (although their nomenclature may be a little different).

You could post a Feature Request asking the WL team to partner with an educational group for teaching Technical Analysis. I would support (i.e. vote for) the idea.
