Hi,

I checked all bollinger bands in the building Blocks. And can't find such one with three parameters. (Period, STdDev and Moving Average Exponential.) See Image.
Bollinger Bands Top
Bollinger Bands Median
Bollinger Bands Bottom.

I'd like to buy, above the EMA and Sell under EMA within the standard deviation.

Indicator compare to value is not correct.

Can someone help me or has an idea?

WealthLab BBands are the standard bands that use SMA.

You can make your own EMA-based bands by:
1. creating a custom indicator, or,
2. in the Building Blocks using MathIndOpInd and then Add or Substract a multiple of a StdDev indicator.

Hi Cone,

can you please make an example with the building blocks with the SMA like in the picture of mine? Thanks.

Show us a snapshot of your screen with the MathInd... indicator in Blocks first. That would be a good exercise in learning.

I can't get any smarter from the building blocks (BB)

In my sample, I have now 2x StdDev. Ones for EMA2 and the other one for BBLower. And I can't see a channel in the price pane and the EMA2 is also not in the price pane.
And for the BBUpper I need one more building Blocks. Is that right?

what does value mean? stock price?

C'mon, you can drag a BBand into WL8 chart with one operation too. But we're not talking about standard BBands - you want something different.

Value is a value like 100 or 0. Usually values are used for indicators with a defined range, like RSI, CMO, etc., for oversold and overbought triggering. Obviously this is not the case for "Price", which are the Open, High, Low, Close "indicators".

The condition you need is either Indicator Crosses Indicator OR Indicator Compare to Indicator. The second indicator will be OHLC or some operation of it.
