Actually, there are two requests here:
1) set a preference for which side window a user would like to open when starting the program. Right now it opens on the data window but I use the Strategy window 99% of the time.
2) When opening a coded strategy, the side window automatically switches to the C# Coding QuickRef. I understand why, but again, my preference would be that it remains on the Strategy window.

Rename
Just for reference, what is called "side window" here is Nav Window in the Help.
2) This behavior is meant to be helpful to the majority of users since WealthScript has quite a learning curve. The GUI is "oppressed" with various options and checkboxes so another one for making the Strategy view sticky would be really superfluous.
1) It's only a single mouse click to choose the view. You're the first in WL8's three-year history to even request this "time saving" option.

Fair enough. The reason I bring it up is I test multiple strategies simultaneously, and each time I need to switch back to the Strategies Nav Window. As you say, it's a simple click of the mouse to moved between the windows so whether it's developed or not will not make or break the WL experience for me. But it's a request. If it's not upvoted, so be it, I will remain the only person who is asking for it.
To rephrase, we would like to avoid unnecessary options to keep the interface clean and reduce the maintenance load.
