In a C# strategy, getting the above message and there is no chart drawn - meaning it did not execute the code.
Here is the issue, today is Sunday. Yesterday, I got the same message. So I switched to "online mode" and connected to Interactive brokers, so it will download whatever data it needs. After a few seconds the message went away.
Today, there is no new data (Sunday) and all data is already stored locally (same symbol and data scale). In addition, the message on Saturday should not have popped either. Since only a few bars were missing. It should have used whatever bars on the disk - offline mode.
Using just one ticker, see screenshot. Build 86.

You contradict yourself, because if there were a few bars missing the message must have popped.

Anyway, just click "Run backtest" and WL will use whatever data you have downloaded so far in Offline mode.

Not really, the app was in offline mode.

I tried your suggestion, a few times, but I still get the same error you see.

To reiterate the issue: this error should not pop in offline mode when most of the data is already on disk.

If you specify the "Most Recent" 55 years, then WL8 will assume you want the most recent data. It will see that the data is not up to date, and since WL8 is in Offline Mode, it cannot update the data. I think that's what you're seeing here.

How much data do you have stored locally?

You can specify an explicit date range instead of a most recent to use the local data you already have downloaded.

Update:
1. switched from offline to online mode and clicked on run backtest. While IB is not running. The wheel spun for a couple of seconds, then, I stopped to action.
2. Switched back to Offline and this time it ran fine.

This tells me that the program thought that it was in online mode when it actually was offline. The actions above "updated" the program to the right mode.

There are a few other settings that are "out of sync" that I'd be happy to work with you to fix.
