It appears the upcoming release of WLP/WLD, on or around 8/26/10, will be v6. The version number change suggests its a significant upgrade from the current v5.x. As each WL release has gotten better and closed the gap with WL4, and in some areas exceeded it, its something to look forward to.
I was curious to know if it reintroduces some of the WL4 features that are sorely missed. Watchlists, for example.

WatchLists didn't get picked up for this year. We keep pounding the table for it, but it's just not happening yet.

Thanks for trying.
Meanwhile, I will do my part by nagging Fidelity re:Watchlists every time I call them.

Are you at liberty to throw out some teasers re: what's new or updated in this significant upgrade?

It's no secret that Fidelity is integrating a new Streaming provider, and, we sure hope that all the Streaming bugs are fixed by the time this goes out. Besides that, bug fixes, a reincarnation of Index-Lab integrated right into the app, and 64-bit installation will be featured.

... and, several weeks later there's more to come, but we'll save that one to keep you coming back.

It's not quite full watchlists (no editing) but you can use my Watchlist provider addon to get most of the features of watchlists. I hope to add editing sometime in the future but I can't promise any dates.

Hi Dave, the part that a lot of customers are missing are the 4x dynamic WatchList script editing functions: WatchListCreate, WatchListClear, WatchListDelete, WatchListAddSymbol, and WatchListDeleteSymbol.

Cone is it worth me looking into adding that type of functionality to the watchlist provider or is this something you think will be out in the somewhat near future (considering it's not likely I'd get it out in the next month or two if it's possible)?

Generating dynamic WatchLists probably isn't too hard, but making Wealth-Lab cognizant of them in the same session is a different story. Do you see a "hook" that can make that happen?

Has anyone heard anything about Index Lab coming back in this version? I was told by a the help desk today that the release was to be on 8/25, but nothing out there yet. Will keep looking tomorrow for the release, as well as any special guide on Index Lab features.

There is also to be some new features with regard to Market Sentiment. Does anyone know if TRIN/ARMS and TICK are going to get calculated in real time or are we still stuck with the worthless end of day data on this?

1 - Yes, as said in the Wealth-Lab Wiki FAQ and in the User Guide, Index-Lab is integrated in WL6.
2 - When you download and install WLP6, check the User Guide for what's new and what's changed.

We're hoping to get some good feedback on Streaming charts and Quotes responsiveness with this release. Please let us know if you see any problems.

Also, anyone who repeatedly experiences the Auto-Stage/Place problem has a new Trading Preference to try: Disable Portfolio Synch. Please refer to the User Guide.

Errata!
I just noticed that the UserGuide > Preferences > Trading topic was inadvertently left out of the HTML Contents. The good news is that you can still get to that topic from New and Noteworthy > What's New: Trading, Disable Portfolio Synch. Click the link for "A new Trading preference is available ..."
