I have created several new folders for codes I have been working on but when I go to

C:\Program Files\MS123\Wealth-Lab Developer 6\Data\Strategies

in Explore I cannot find the new folders I created.


The original Wealthlab Strategy folders are there but not my new ones. How can I display them.

Show "hidden files, folders and drives" is ticked in Settings.

Phillip, modern software does not store user data under Program Files. What you found is the folder with canned strategies that will be restored in case you use Wealth-Lab under a new Windows account or reinstall. The correct location can be found where the Wealth-Lab User Guide instructs: Data > Where Data are Stored.

Also bear in mind that:

1. Nested folders are not supported
2. Any changes to folders scanned by Wealth-Lab will not be reflected until it's restarted, so it makes sense to make them when WLD is closed.

I found them but what files should I be backing up apart from Strategies. ie what are vital or should I just backup

the entire Data folder
