Hi,
Looking forward to using Wealth Lab Developer edition.
I have the following question:
- current WLD users
- do they have access to 1 minute data providers?
- my need is .SPX
- can you please name the data providers
Thanks!

IQFeed.

Also see Map of Wealth-Lab Data Providers.

Though other providers may lack depth, real-time, instruments etc.

So for 1-minute it's IQFeed only.

Thanks!

0) Ugh, called IQFeed.
Just for ^SPX 1 minute data which is what I use
- $92 per month

Which one is your second best provider?

1) Will IQFeed and others appear in Data Manager for WLD?

Fidelity 1 minute data shows up within 2 seconds at the top of the minute.

2) Wonder what the delay for these guys is?

Thanks!

IQFeed is our first, second and third best provider for 1-minute historical and streaming data. It's a professional grade real-time data feed that is employed for decades by a wide user community.

It turns out that data and brokerage services have their cost. Fidelity provided quite a lot of value for free in the product.

Thanks! Got it! IQFeed it is.
Will it be available via the Data Manager in WLD?

Basically if you could outline the steps. Taking a guess:
1) Sign on with IQFeed
2) Somehow it shows up in Data Manager?

I would like to make the transition as smoothly and quickly as possible..
Appreciate you folks there helping us out

BTW wealth-lab.com works best with Firefox.
Has issues with Chrome and Edge.
The issue being: click around to get to post something. .

Since WL's architecture is extensible, all providers have the same user experience (except in some detail). IQFeed is no different from Fidelity or Yahoo static providers for that matter. See Data > Data Manager > Create New DataSet in the WL User Guide.

Sadly, this shows a severe lack of understanding of how brokerages make money and their underlying business model. They all provide data and trading tools/services and it's never for "free". And not least of all, Fidelity has probably made a ton of money just from the hefty account balances most of us maintain, which are almost never fully invested in the market.

I was able to install WLD and migrate the strategies from WLP.

Now, how do I get intraday data (1 min, 5 min, 15 min) and also the daily and weekly/monthly data ?

With WLP (Fidelity version), the data was updated real-time.

I tried the default yahoo provider with WLD, but it could not get 1-min data :

Yahoo is EOD only. You'll find the optimal choice for streaming intraday data right in the transition instructions that we emailed upon your purchase.

UPDATE 08/05/2020: Offtopic posts were moved to IQFeed static and streaming provider
