Yesterday the bar for September 28, 2016 was missing for german stocks and
today was not updated properly with the daily update.
There was a gap between Sep 27 and Sep 29.

I had to reload all bars new and in the end, recreated the dataset.

I am wondering if this is the desired behaviour ?

I had thouhgt, that the missing bar for Sep28 would be loaded too during the daily update
and that the WL data provider notices missing bars.
I assume, that the Yahoo data provider is more reliable regarding this.

The September 28 bar has not been missing for German stocks in the DAX and MDAX groups. Looking at the log of user actions it's hard for me to tell what it was but certainly this wasn't a backend issue. It could be some unknown glitch in the W-D provider but there's shortage of evidence for troubleshooting. I guess that you no longer have the Data Manager log as you updated your DataSets at least 8 times yesterday and that plus the reload today has overwritten the log?

I monitor, verify and edit the data on a daily basis and should the daily update routine error out (rarely) I immediately try to fix this. There was no data outage on Sep 28th.

For German stocks Yahoo! is not as reliable as W-D for many reasons:

1) Sometimes they adds inexistent (fake) bars into the German data when there were holidays or weekends.
2) The data is full of spikes and OHLC errors.
3) Its dividends are not always precise.
4) Their dividend history for German stocks may be shorter.
5) Sometimes their index composition may become incorrect e.g. when they include the right stock but a wrong class.
etc.

Eugene, next time I post ASAP.

But trust me, on 2 machines yesterday noon german time there was no data for the german stocks for Sep28.
The Google data provider had had also problems for some german stocks, so I guessed, there was a delay
by the german exchange.
Yes, the WL data for german stocks is much better, therefore I use it.

Yes, I'd appreciate that.

Just FYI, the German data currently does not depend on sources like Yahoo, Google, IQFeed etc. It's powered by an in-house routine. The data becomes available for download typically around 8pm CET, a couple hours after XETRA's closing time.

Sorry, currently I do not have an explanation but according to server logs I notice that you were updating on Sep 28th and some updates were received.

For November 4,2020 the bars seems to be ok,
but November 3, 2020 bars are still missing for BEI.DE, BMW.DE, ALV.DE.

PUM.DE has been corrected.
