If a strategy to trade 100 stocks is based on 1-minute bar data can it be coded in WL that if the Portfolio P&L reaches a certain percentage to exit all positions in every stock held? It would not be profit target for a particular stock but a portfolio profit target to exit all positions.

Is this available on WLD 4.0 or 6.0?

Thanks,

Mike

There is no such product as "WLD 4.0" anymore. Sure it's available in WL6. However, it is unsupported. (Supported are PosSizers, and you can size Positions based on portfolio equity but alas, they are helpless when it comes to planning a portfolio-level "crash stop" or profit target - as PosSizers can't exit Positions).

We've got an article with several code samples in the Wiki > Knowledge Base (which is going to be easy for you to find but it requires a bit of C# knowledge to get through). Besides, there's a selection of previous threads on this matter of interacting/trading the equity curve.

I've written an article which intends to familiarize mechanical traders and WealthSignals subscribers with the notion of exploiting a temporary weakness of a system to their benefit. Check out this brief overview of methods for "trading the equity curve" designed to take the system's equity curve and performance under control at the WealthSignals website:

When a mechanical trading system is having a drawdown what do you do?
