I have installed the Neuro-Lab indicator and 'trained' the networks, but I'm not sure what the 'Evaluations' are telling me. I have read all the information in the User Guide and played with the stocks in my portfolio using the 'Evaluation' tool. For instance, the column NN Indicator shows a range of numbers as output. If I see a higher range compared with other stocks; what does this mean? Then on the far-right I see a vertical bar chart with red and green bars; what does this mean. In other works how do I use this Neuro-Lab tool.
Thank you

There's a pretty good NeuroLab thread here... Neuro-Lab: Interpretation of NNIndicator and Evaluate Performance

LenMoz,
How are you using NEUROLAB, what parameters are you using. I know nothing about NEUROLAB. Is it working for you.
Take Care,

Gary,
Nearly all the strategies I use have a NeuroLab component, and, yes, it works for me. It's power comes from the fact that it's a black box. You can feed it any DataSeries that you think might be predictive of future gain. The Broad Markets sample script shows it. The inputs are RSI and ROC for Symbol Close, Dow Jones Close, and Nasdaq Close, using 20 and 40 bar periods. Hopefully, some of these DataSeries are predictive. Training will sort it out, assigning higher weight to the predictive ones and lower weight to the others. The beauty is that you don't need to know. Training with predictive DataSeries will produce lower error. If it doesn't, you've fed it junk. Pick some other DataSeries. Determining when to stop training is somewhat of an art. An overtrained network will predict the training data, but fail elsewhere. NeuroLab's Evaluate Performance tab can show that by comparing "In Sample" to "Out Sample" results. Hope that helps.
