Hi, I'm new here and I'm having trouble testing strategies for the EUR / USD pair, I saw several posts from Eugene on the subject, but I still haven't been successful, one image on the wiki is missing.
Could someone give me an example of EURUSD in Symbol Info Manager? Thanks.

Hi,

I don't think anything is missing. Here's the image from the Wiki:

You can set it up more focused on EURUSD if you wish instead of the regular expression if you wish. Simply put EURUSD instead of [A-Z]{3}.?USD.

Don't forget to keep Futures Mode enabled for preferences to apply.

Valdenilson, it's a common error in modern browsers which ganged up on HTTP-only websites. To fix your browser, please refer to the last post in this topic: Is Wiki down? Once done you'll be able to browse the Wiki.

Type: Future
Margin: Up to you (depends on your FX dealer's leverage). May be 4000 (25:1) or 1000 (100:1), for example.
Point Value: 100000
Tick: 0.0001
Decimals: 4

A permission issue it was - that's why I couldn't see it. Fixed, thanks. It works now.

I believe that I have a still have a problem..

I have this examples rules:

Buy at market
-Moving Average turns up -> 20

Sell at Stop Loss -> 0,05
Sell at profit Target -> 0,1

In stocks, BBSE3, is very good but in EURUSD, doesn't execute SELL, Only BUY.

What could be happening?

Hi,

I have Symbol Info Manager:
Symbol: EURUSD
Type: Future
Margin: 4000
Point Value: 100000
Tick: 0,0001
Decimals: 4

I have checked "Turn off limit/stop order rounding entirely"

I would like know how can I use only $50 for simulate my trades.

When I use $50, I receive the message:
"XXX trades were not included in the backtest results due to insufficient simulated capital..."

If price is $1,1426, I need put $1.1426,00 for buy the position.. like says here: http://www2.wealth-lab.com/WL5Wiki/kbWorkingWithForexData.ashx

I want too, simulate something like a:

Starting capital: $200
Fixed dollar for entry: $50

Hi,

The position size must be enough to purchase at least 1 full share (lot) of the instrument.
