How can I get data on government bonds, bills, and notes in US and Canada? Where can I get their symbols please?

Thanks.

Norgate at www.premiumdata.net covers these futures markets with practically an unbeatable amount of history.

Note: Data are currently in MetaStock format, so it's required to use the 32-bit version of Wealth-Lab to read it.

Also, TradingBlox and PiTrading data providers have free EOD data for U.S. T-Notes and T-Bonds, and IQFeed offers them on intraday/daily basis (provided that you have a valid subscription to these futures markets).

Cone, the information you provided is regarding futures rather than bonds in US and Canada. BTW, is there any software to convert MetaStock format to txt format or WLD format?
Eugene, followed your instruction, I installed both TradingBlox and PiTrading since I did not subscribe IQFeed. It looks TradingBlox doesn't work properly while PiTrading is great to show Forex, Futures, and Indices, but there is no US T-Notes and T-Bonds. I am afraid if there is anything wrong in my working, could you please show me?
Thanks.

TradingBlox does work properly. Please read this carefully: How to Report Bugs Effectively > "It doesn't work", then follow author's suggestions and summary. After that, please provide the information necessary for troubleshooting using this convenient bullet point list: Our support policy > "How to report a problem?"

I'm sure that if you carefully read the descriptions, you'll find the tickers for U.S. T-Notes and T-Bonds futures.

Hi Eugene, what I talked about is Bonds rather than Bonds futures. After that, do you guys have Canadian or European or Japanese bonds EOD data? Thanks.

Not surprisingly, the mighty BBFree provider has them e.g.

US 10 Year Note: USGG10YR:IND
US 30 Year Note: USGG30YR:IND
Canadian 10 Year Note: GCAN10YR:IND
Canadian 30 Year Note: GCAN30YR:IND

You'll find more tickers in Google. Good luck.

Due to demise of the free data feed we have to take down the BBFree provider from the Extensions section.

An update on the topic. The preferred choice for US bonds is now the FRED fundamental provider. Two more providers deliver this kind of data for free, Multpl economic data provider and Quandl static provider. For installation links please see this:
