Hi all,
I'm a resurrected old user from WL4 (I think)

I have a new system I am trying to code but I'm not sure if WL can meet my requirements

Specifically I need:
Automated trading - I live outside USA
Forex and commodities markets

From my basic search of the forums it seems Autotrading with non-Fidelity accounts is not possible?
And also autotrading forex not possible?

Thanks a lot for your replies

Hi and welcome back,

Wealth-Lab Developer can be used for autotrading any supported broker if a Broker Provider exists. If broker provides an open API, most likely a broker provider for WL could be implemented. In fact, that's how live trading with Fidelity and paper trading in WL itself work - through extension modules called broker providers. Motivated developers have created 3rd party broker providers for their own use.

The good news is that there is a turnkey solution for getting data from Interactive Brokers and automated order placement via IB created by a 3rd party. As you know, IB has wide coverage of futures across the globe and of course Forex. You might want to check out his forum replies and give it a try signing up for a free 10-day trial.
