Since yesterday 12/21/2015 this provider doesn't download any data. Someone know's how to fix it?

It's a server-side problem. The provider is not to blame. It will either return to work again one day or not. Nobody but "them" can fix it.

It works again.

I'm having a problem with BBFree not finishing downloading new data for the entire data set. Perhaps they have now implemented a data limitation. The workaround is to just keep trying to update the data. If the last file you get is unreadable, you have to delete it before it will download the next symbol.
On a slightly different topic, Google is now only downloading approximately 16 years and 11 months of data. The result is that, like BBFree and Nasdaq, the first bar you get today will be later than the first bar you got if you had downloaded the data yesterday. The oldest bar you can get today for AA through Wealth-Lab is 4/17/2000. However, the website is showing a few more bars back to 3/20/2000.

Sounds like you're having a local issue with network connectivity, or maybe firewall/antivirus or whatever. I've just completed a first-time download of the S&P 500 DataSet using BBFree in under a minute.

In this regard it doesn't matter what the Google's website is showing. What counts here is only the "Download to spreadsheet" link. There the first date is 17-Apr-00. Note that if the link is missing, the Google data can't be downloaded even if the website shows the table with historical data.

If you have time, I'd appreciate your trying my much larger DataSet attached. As you can see from the attached logs, for me it is kicking out after about 1400 symbols, so your test on the S&P 500 might not be big enough to generate the problem.

Thanks, I've investigated your attachment containing a list of 3,850 symbols (note: it's been removed it due to an inappropriate file name) and was able to reproduce the error. Not the BBFree provider's issue. It's caused by a web server error returning malformed content.
I'll look into possibly handling this gracefully.

That's consistent with the problem I got where it returned an unreadable file.

Sorry. I saw that *.xml wasn't allowed, so I zipped it. I thought I attached the .zip file of
removed.xml.

No problem. For a good reason, please avoid mentioning the
removed word in the context of this provider. ;)

This will be fixed in the upcoming update. Data parsing error (due to malformed data at random symbol in huge DataSets) will no longer break update. Thank you for pointing me towards the issue.

Since 08/05/2016 my data are no longer updated. The log file mentions update completed but no bars are added as you can see.
Up-to-date symbols: 0, Update required for: 10, New symbols: 1
Symbol: AU:US, Bars: 0
Update completed (2.667 sec)
Moreover, I still have the problem with the security name even with the script as mentioned on the website
<AlwaysUpdateNames>true</AlwaysUpdateNames>
Any ideas for these issues ?

Apparently the part of the feed in charge of the historical data might have stopped working. Presumably they have depreciated it. We'll give the provider a few weeks before decommissioning it. This is where it ends.

As of today it is still not working.

I had discovered a new limited feed at BB that delivers up to 1 year of daily data and was about to fix the provider when I noticed that data is Close only. There's no way to get an OHLCV from them. Sadly but the provider has to be decommissioned.
Due to demise of the free data feed we have to take down the BBFree provider from the Extensions section.
