Hello. I want to use an old spare Windows7 computer to run long backtests. I am trying to install WL8 and get all sort of error messages from Signature (solved) to "corrupt cabinet file". In case WL8 could run in Windows7. Did someone go trough it? Whow?

This page might be of help. According to the page, .NET6 is supported in Win7 Service Pack 1.

Also, is your Windows 7 64-bit? WL8 is 64-bit only.

I'm running WL7/8 on Windows 7 64-bit 16-Gbytes without any problems. Works fine.

There are some issues installing Visual Studio 2022, which is required for .NET 6.X (and WL8), but that seems to be working fine too if you're not doing SQL.
