Hi,

can some please walk me through to plug-into local brokerage house (outside US) which provides API in COM version? I confirmed they provide COM Interop assemblies.

I would appreciate if someone can show me the steps that I need to go through.

many thx in advance!

Not sure what steps to go do you mean? You've not even taken a free trial of Wealth-Lab Developer. Anyway, for comprehensive information on developing broker providers please go no further:

FAQ: I would like to create a broker adapter for Wealth-Lab Developer 6.

I like to gain full understanding before taking free trial as I would not want to waste trial period working on plug-in step.
It seems WealthLab is not supporting 3rd broker although they provide API in COM version.
Is that mean people with brokerage acct outside US aren't able to benefit from WealthLab? correct me if I am wrong.

Pure .NET would be optimal but having COM interop is fine.

This just means that your broker provider development is not supported by us, i.e. you're on your own with your D.I.Y. project w/o support and documentation.

Hi Eugene, I understand that Fidelity‘s concern and MS123's situation. However I am very interested in developing an application or plug-in to place orders daily based on the signals triggered from Strategy Monitor. I have API of a broker for chinese securities, but I don't have any clue since my programming knowledge is very limited. I don't want to get your support for that, but could you please show me some roadmap or clue to do that?
I tried tradelink, but honestly its learning curve is terrible.
Thanks for your help and understanding.

Hi,

If you're interested in connecting Wealth-Lab to a 3rd party broker then it's possible. To do that you'd need to develop a so called broker provider. The interface (API) is not documented and unsupported but there is an existing open source solution created by a 3rd party which can be found in the Wealth-Lab Wiki FAQ:

FAQ | Position Sizing, Extensions, Miscellaneous > Data and Broker providers

If it's not the case kindly disregard my reply.
